14 year old A1-needs repair
So, after having to give up tennis, I figured I'd get back into trying my hand at photography...just to satisfy myself. I started using my A1 again (after about a 6 year lay-off) for a week or so (took the usual gret pictures although I forgot how to really use it), and then it crapped out on me. BTW, its sensor was repaired by Sony for free several years ago. Using freshly charged batteries or the A/C-D/C adapter still didn't turn on the camera. At best, the battery icon would show (empty) for a moment or two, and then nothing. Forgot about this forum but did post on the DPR forum asking about repair. They advised that I get a new camera. So I got the FZ1000 as I wanted something similar to the A1. Anyway, as there still is a dedicated Minolta-Konica forum, maybe you guys can help me. As I see the camera itself is really worth nothing much (even if it was working, ~$150), maybe there could be an easy way to repair it if you could come up with an approach? Thanks.
