Default Minolta A2 - First Pictures

This weekend I finally got out to take some pictures with my Minolta A2. I've put some cropped parts of the pictures on my web site so you can see the level of noise and purple fringing that resulted.

The pictures were taken at the Brooklands Museum in Surrey, UK, on 27th March 2004.

All taken using a tripod, no flash.

The first, was deliberately kept dark (moody), and shows the wheel and suspension of a 1950's McLaren racing car. This was taken at F2.8, 1/4" exposure ISO 64, 28mm (35m equiv.), auto WB, and shows no noise at all.

The second, 28mm, f2.8, 2" exposure, ISO64, autoWB, shows the view of the structure of the wing of a Wellington bomber, and was taken pointing up and shows the roof of the hanger through the structure. There is quite a lot of purple fringing, but it cannot be seen when printed.

Very nice, I especially like the suspension photo.
