The default reset has seemed to kick in the autofocus on my Dimage 7i. I think the results are better if anyone wants to compare my December shots with the November ones. I have the following added to the default: -1 contrast to try and overcome the burnout of the white plumes and helmets, BW set to daylight. Everything appears more natural and how I like it to appear. Still need to work on the burnout though. What's the correct procedure to produce slightly underexposed shots please?

The focussing problem will improve when I acquire a remote.

With the Effect wheel set to AV, press the button and turn the wheel for exposure compensation down to the - range. You're much better off when the picture is slighly underexposed, color flat... It'll give you much more latitude later in Photoshop (rather than overblown highlight and saturation to the max)
