Has anyone had their Zoom button break? Is this a well known design fault of Zx series cameras? Has anyone tried to have Minolta repair their camera? What was your experience & what did it cost?

I had my Z1 fixed after I dropped it. The minimim charge is $140. Perhaps for something simple like the zoom button the charge will be less, but I doubt it. You can call their NJ repair facility and find out for sure. These days unless you have a very high dollar item the repair charges often exceed the value of the item to be repaired!
