I'm considering buying the Z6, but can't decide if the extra MP is worth the loss in video mode. Anyone have any experience with both?

I don't have experience with both. I have a Z6 which I have been using for 2 weeks now (close to 500 photos). I have posted about 30 shots at pbase:
http://www.pbase.com/tgaf/konica_minolta_dimage_z6. I did a little sharpening and a little color boost for my preferences but no denoising. In my experience noise is not a problem with this camera. I like the camera very much. It is fast, full featured, easy to use and takes very good pics. I don't use the video, so that is not a concern for me. The quality of the still photos is very important and here I think the Z6 is a fine camera indeed. It has the smooth, filmlike, artistic quality of Minoltas. With a touch of sharpening the detail is excellent. The 12x zoom is wonderful, as is the macro and supermacro. The antishake works as advertised. A picture is worth a thousand words. Give a look at my pics and see if this is the type of pic and quality you are looking for. By doing a search on pbase you can find pics from other cameras you are interested in and get an idea of their quality. Best wishes.
