My camera shows a system error and will not respond. This happened after I unplugged it from the computer without diconnecting the usb via the software. Is there anything I can do to restore the camara's function without professional help?

Generic advice, since you didn't say which camera you have: Turn off camera, remove battery, remove memory card. Wait up to a half hour. Reinstall battery, (not memory card). Turn on camera. If problem no longer appears,Go to systm menu and find the " restore defaults ' setting, and do it. Reinsert memory card and check

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"If problem recurs without memory card, I'm out of ideas. If not, but does when memory is inserted, the card probably needs reformatting in a card reader.
