I am in Canada so Sony cannot repair this.

This is an unaltered picture taken with my digital camera. A Minolta DiMage G400.

A few months ago all of a sudden, the camera started taking pictures that were "interlaced-liked" and "dizzy". My hand was not shaking when I took this picture so something is definitely wrong with it. Is it the lens?

And no, it's not my monitor. Everything I take a picture of turns out with those horizontal lines.

Here's the weird part now. I just found this out. This camera has 3x optical zoom. On about 1x and 2x zoom, I get those horizontal lines. On 3x and 3x plus digital zoom, I don't get those horizontal lines.

Could this be because of dirt/oil on my lens that is causing some kind of refraction of light?

Lens can't cause such, fault is either in CCD or camera's processor.
