S5R Zoom lens outside and camera off

While on tour in Europe - after about 15 days of trip (and many images) - when trying to shoot a picture, my Kyocera S5R turned on - the zoom lens came out and it FROZE.

The lens does not go in, if I switch it on - the LCD briefly blinks - but nothing happens. The LCD remains dark - the lens remains out.

Anyone faced it. Any Kyocera repairer in India?? Guess I will give it to a local mechanic (in Kolkata) rather than send it to their Japan factory. If he can repair - great, else get me another one (non-Kyocera).
