Default Finecam S5R: no focus assist light = problem?

Everything I know about the Finecam S5R sounds great except that there's no focus assist light. The majority of my shots are at night and use the flash. Think: group shots of friends at a party or bar or something. Will not having a focus assist light be a big problem? Does anyone miss it? Or, does the S5R focus just fine in low light?
