does anyone know how to open the sl300r without using too much force? thing is that after dropping the camera , it will not turn on every time i hit the power button, and i get only the red led flashing above the lcd. sometimes however it turns on properly and it works.... must be a contact somwhere.... thanks

Have you tried the battery contacts?

I have found that sometimes in similar situation dropping the camera again fixes the problem:G

Hey, did you solve your Problem?
I had it once and there was a hidden Screw under some sort of plastic cover just where the mode Status Display lies. If you still have the the prob let me know. I will make a photo of it...... Cheers Wolfgang |

thanks for that, i had already found one hidden screw(on the top edge of the display, coverred with small plastic cover) but i got stuck afer that one.... thing is that the "shiny" part of the case (from the power button to the batery cover) just won't separate from the "gray" part.... don't think there are any more screws.... every suggestion is more than welcomed....

the shiny part of the case i mentioned above turned out to be more flexible than it looks so just push it a bit harder and there you go....there are no hidden screws besides the one allready mentioned by everybody here.....the camera opens and you can access more or less all you want..... good luck.....
