In my visit in Mount Athos I have heart about a place which used to be the Othrodoxy School on Mount Athos. Now there is a small church in the middle of the ruins called Profit Elias.

Commends welcome

Thanks

Neat shot. I recently purchased a wide angle to help get the foreground and background in focus in the same image. It provides another perspective. Do you know what the plant is?

Nice shot, although I'd prefer the entire foreground to be in focus.

Joe, one trick you can use to obtain both the foreground and background in focus, is to use a small aperture (f16 or f22 if you have a DSLR or f6.3 and aboveif you have a PaS),point the camera downand focus on something that is about 2-3 feet away from the camera. Recompose and shoot. Even though the EVF indicates that the background is blurry, it won't be once the picture is taken. This tip comes from Brian Peterson's book "Understanding Exposure" - a must haveif you are not totally familiar with the various combinations of S/A/ISO.
