Well I've finally found a really good patch of heather in bloom, but as usually happens it was in the wrong place for the composition I wanted !

So here's a few making the best of what was there, starting with a big bank of the stuff:

Very nice photos John. Number two "In you face" does it for me. I get the feeling of the scent of the flowers and the distance of the landscape in the same photo.

Anyway, these are fabulous views! In fact, to such an extend that they almost made me feel haunted by thememories and images from my childhood in 1970's when the the flowers bloomed, as if, much happier

Awesome set, John. The colors and composition are superb. It's certainly a beautiful country side.
