Thanks, Don and Bahadir. I'm almost happy to trade these overcast skies for the smoke we've had to endure all summer. The smoke from the Tatoosh and Tripod fires burning in Washington State and into Southern BC was worse than in any year I can remember.

Bahadir, that was a long tele shot - this is what it really looks like. Add a bit of snow, and this is pretty much how things will look until next spring. Any time you want to visit, I'd be more than happy to show you around!:-)

Bahadir, those 'icicles' are actually Christmas lights on my neighbour's house across the street. I guess it's too much of a hassle to take them down and store them, so lots of people just leave them up all year. :-)

I love this misty photo! It's pretty cool what a telephoto lens can do, zoom in and make a beautiful photo out and see a neighborhood.

Thanks, Bob. When I bought my 35mm Mamiya SLR in the Eighties a decent 300mm zoom lens cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars and was big enough to be mistaken for a Bazooka. Now you can find pocket-sized digicams with equivalent zooms for about the same as a mediocre film camera cost back then. Amazing.

PS - I've seen the incredible work you've posted in these forums, so your positive comments on my humble efforts are really appreciated. Thanks again, Bob!
