When I took this shot a couple of days ago you can see why I compared it to M.C. Escher's illustration- "Three Worlds". The 3 worlds are the objects on top, the reflections and finally the bottom. The small lake is part of an abandoned gypsum mine in South Australia, and the white stuff is definately salt.

Steve,

I love Escher's works. and I think your photos would have done him proud!

John's comments are my thoughts precisely too (gulp!) first photo is so intriguing...
