I took this shot right at Sunrise. The waterfowl were just getting up for the 1st time this morning and then settling back down. I used Mt. Lassen (on the right) as a back drop to the scene.

Cheers,
Steve

Coolshot giving a refreshing feeling! The background is simply greatand the shallow DOF(maybeas a result ofsome further blurring the background) addsan absorbing dimensional senseto the overall image As MsPuckstated, te three geese in the middle are striking. Others flying single or in group, below the three, are also contributory for the theme, yet the ones above in the distance and the single one in front of the magnificent three look extra ( therefore distracting)to me, andthus, could be (or should be!) clonned out.Consequently some of theblank area appearing at the top could also be cropped of bringing more emphisize to the remaining elements, IMO.

Again, well done Steve!

Bahadir, I respect your opinion greatly. I think you make an excellent point about the extra birds in the distance and especially the one directly in front of the "Magnificent Three" (I like that term). I will spend some time removing the extra birds and then re post the picture. Thank you for your always thoughtful insights into my pictures. And, many thanks to all the rest of you that took the time to comment. It is always appreciated,
Steve

That's much, much better. Thank you for your suggestion.
