I love it when the sun shines: especially up here :-)

John, you certainly have the "eye" for a good shot, this being no exception - those cirrus-stratus [ ?] clouds lining thehill perfectly !![warm enough for a swim there??]

Thanks for the comments Jake!

I'm not sure it's ever wam enough for a swim in this location: it's pretty high up, so unless it's so hot that you just want to cool down, taking a dip is not recomended! Besides this is Autumn/Winter sunshine, and although it was a beautiful day to be out and about, the air temps only about 10C at midday these days, and nearer zero first thing in the morning :O

Lovely depth of colour John. Did you use a polariser on this one?

Thanks for the comments Bahadir and Ollie: yes I did use a polariser, it's hardly ever off the camera in fact :-) In this case it cut's out most of the reflected light from the water: making it almost blue-black.

John, this is one of the most amazing shots I have ever seen. The colours are brilliant ! I don't think they get much better than this.

Cheers, Clinton.

great shot, John. the clarity of the image and the realistic sense of the colors really make this photo special.
