indeed! trees are much better at holding still for you!

how do you like the 17-40L? worth the cash? i'll likely bein the market this springfor a wider lens than my 24-135 to use for landscapes. of course,at the rate we're going,it'll rain till June ,but atleast i'll have plenty of time to save up my nickels!

I like it! I paid around 600. it seems and it had a 50.00 rebate. I feel I haven't begun to see want it can do. I need to go to the refuge which has the atlantic ocean and lots of natural beauty. But between the holidays and the weather, haven't had a chance. I have really been pushing myself to get a decent wildlife shot and around here that means birds. But most have been mediocre, not as good as my pana. but I am getting familiar with the canon and loving it more all the time. I have found myself shooting in full manual because I love the exposure reading in the viewfinder, reminding me of my old Nikkormat ftn. Donna
