We finally had a nice day here on the coast. Apparently, the weather prognosticator said we only have had around 20 hours of sun for the whole month of Dec. so far. I have moss growing on me. But yesterday, the sun finally made it out, so I headed to the shore to see if the sunset was worth viewing. It wasn't too bad, but not great either...here's a couple. Oh, and it is raining again tonight...sigh.....Cheers.....Don.

Thanks Bob! I hope to get out more in the next little while. The weather has been soooo crappy here. I worked through most of it though, so didn't miss much in the way of shooting opportunities...cheers.......Don.

Thanks Bahadir. These were more or less snapshots. Just got my new camera body, and rushed out to give it a go. I shoot in RAW, so white balance is totally adjustable to suit one's desires, hence the rich colour balance....cheers........Don

both nice pics, Don, but i really like the gold tones in the second one.

what new body did you get, and what lens were you using for that second shot? As Bob mentioned, it's obviously a prettypotent zoom!

PS - i sympathize about the weather... yesterday was the first really nice day we've had here in a month or more!

Hi Squirl. Thanks for the comments. I upgraded to the Pentax k10d. The zoom is their bargain 50-200mm DA lens. Cheap but pretty good. I know you're going through the same crappy weather we are. Man, when will it end....good luck with gettng some more sun...cheers.......Don.

Lovely shots mate. I thought the mountains were clouds in the first shot, only in the 2nd does it become clear.

Lovely sunset Don, I think I prefer the second one: the boat improves the composition, but they're both lovely :-)

John.
