Telling you the story about no housing and perhaps the need of a haircut

Torgny,

Super shots! You sure give that 30d a good workout. Those animals must be very friendly.

Let's see more of your photos.

Have a Great day,

divertwo

divertwo,

Thanks. They keep the landscape open, and are very friendly. They offer great theraphy by their calmness and friendly eyes (when you can see them that is)

Thanks Rudy!

Theese are lovely animals. As I said before they can greatly help keeping the landscape open

quote
In several areas of the West Forest, you will see fenced meadows with charming, shaggy, Scottish Highland cattle. Their large arched horns and long coats conjure up images of ancient aurochs. Highland cattle are extremely hardy and prefer to remain outside all year round. Calving also takes place in the open in March to May.
The 100-150 cattle and 200 sheep keep down the grass on part of the heath. In winter they are given extra hay and grain, grown on fields adjoining the forest.

I wish I had lived a life like one of those...
