not certain if this should be a landscape or wildlife, so maybe i'll put it in both forums! :G i was walking along the shore of Little Redfish Lake last fall, and spotted these mergansers swimming across the calm water. normally, such a thing would ruin the reflection, but in this case, thearrow-straight wakes actually make the scene more interesting, as they cut across the pastel reflections of the trees on the far shore... just for fun, i ran this through Neat Image with the noise reduction set failrly high, to achieve a sort of pastel watercolor effect... now i'm not sure which one i like the best! :O

Well, keep them both, one for the detail and one for the artistic effect. Yes, it is interesting. I´ll try to find out

Superb capture, squirl

For me, the composition and the idea always preceds other issues!

However, as I was in the same dilemma:-),owing to my appreciation for your original, I tried a moderate noise reduction which I thought would suffice, though I knew you applied the harsh reduction just for fun and to achive the water colour effect...hope you don't mind
