This is one of the geological unique features you'll find in Fish Creek wash out in the Anza Borrego Desert park areas. Geology students would have a great time here. The walls of the wash and canyon are sandstone and mud. Not always stable either.

Denis,
I believe that's your smart mind that converts a texture that can be considered as an ordinary background, to a photographic frame. Leaving your Jeep to foreground brought a scale to the amazing geographical structure. Unless your Jeep's existance we wouldn't realize the how huge the structure is.

I found it a well planned shot.

The wash is a great place to look for fossils and such, but here's what happens all too often.

Beautiful shot. That's a very unusual formation. Nice colors too.

I like the second shot also. I hope your Jeep isn't under there.

Btw, I wonder ifthey are the actual colours of the rocks or youtactfully cast some kind of spell toprevent us from being dazzled

Thanks, those are the colors, I only adjusted the shadow detail, lighting was a little difficult.

I thought the first was a macro shot til I scolled down a little more to get the whole photo. quite a shot. Good colors, sharpness and compo.
