Seems like I haven't taken any decent images in ages (or any images full stop!), in the mean time, for those who don't follow the news at The Online Photographer (see http://theonlinephotographer.blogspot.com) there are some of the most impressive panos I've ever seen here: http://www.nuribilgeceylan.com/photography.php?mid=1 all taken around Turkey, follow the links to the "TURKEY CINEMASCOPE" gallery.

Cheers,

Hoping for better light yours,

John.

John,

Thanks for your link of the Nuri Bilge Ceylan's panos. Although I haven't seen that site before I feeled as if I've seen those wonderful shots already. As you probably know Nuri Bilge Ceylan is a film director who has plenty of awards in various film festivals. If you had any chance to watch them, then you may get the similar pleasure in them as well.

For example, one of his movies, Uzak (Distant) (winner of the Grand Prix du Jury in Cannes Film Festival in 2003 -click for further awards-) would give you the plesure of waching Istanbul in winter besides its story about the depersonalization of an intellectual man.

Click for DVD on amazon.co.uk

ps. I hope you can create an occasion to see those shots you've mentioned live on National Theatre in London before the exhibition ends in the 3rd of March.
