Bahadir,

Such powerfull photos Bahadir, when considered against the hidden political undetones gripping your country your photos evoke a certain degree of emotion.

Great composition especially the sea of red flags must make you feel very proud of your countries heritage and the solidarity of its people.

Bill,

goomer,

Kanji

Ron,

hercules,

Matt,

Torgny,

toshi,

Your kind interest and support are very much appreciated!

As a matter of fact, people were in an almost festive mood in this meeting since the political party in power had already stepped back due to the impact of the+ 1 mio. meetings took place in the major cities of Turkeywithin less than a monthand also thanks to the straight statements from some 'considerable institutions' of the republic relying on 'their' authority granted by the constitution, hand in hand with the public !

So, no wonder thingsshall settle down peacefully: )

Had it notbeen the public meetings andresponse from institutions of the republic, this political party -accidentally in power!!- would elect their leader who is theprime minister now, or their wise prime minister as the President of Turkey whom I'dhardlyrecognize as my president!!

'What's the use of flag in one's own country' youmight wonder...Well,because 'the party'fearthe values it representto death since theirpredecessorsunder the name of 'caliphate army' in the service of imperialistic forces of their time, had received severe defeats during the Independence War of Turkey led by Atatürk!

So, in this crowd youcan seethe people of Anatolia, Trojans, Lydians, the Urartu, Hittiteseven theAmazons!!marchingintheir 'red cloaks' toburn the Trojan Horseput at the gates of Anatolia by the imperialistic forces of our time; )

bahadir,

Coming back to this great photo journalism. The masses, the masses...

Not only is there a great

logos

there is also a great

ethos

and a

pathos

These pictures to me radiate freedom, relief and perhaps even happiness and self-confidence of the masses. They are also artistically superior and have their place both in a art museum and a historical picture archive.

Big words - yes

What if the "old ones" of these shores could see this in a flashing moment - I think they would be proud of the people

Bringing artistry into political photography. Brilliant. Keep us informed

The winds of change are blowing..

amazing shots, bahadir! a great reminder to politicians that secularism (in government) is a progressive move. Happy that your countrymen and women are aware of this fact, and motivated to preserve the status quo.
