Maxxum7D, ISO1600, .5 sec f/3.5, 17mm. A little noisy, but I had to shoot handheld so I'm happy with the result.

Love suchwild night skies !

Very good indeed for a handheld shot under such low lightsituations-as far as Iknow your camera has a built in anti shake mechanism though- ; )

I like the shapes and color gradations in the sky, anchored by the skyline. Your shot is good to study a while to take in everything.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Bahadir- Antishake is definately a bonus for shots like this, especially since I was shooting from a boat on the Mississippi River.

The conditions were pretty favorable with the city lights reflecting off the bottom of the clouds and water, and the lightning in the clouds. I took 400 exposures that night and only kept 4 pictures. Too bad you can never be sure when the lightning is going to strike!
