Can anyone help me out with how I can get Photoshop to darken the mountains?

Can't see the picture, but having spent some time on Puget sound, the answer is "you can't, if you want the image to look natural."
There's always haze, and it just happens. One thing you can do, is use a filter with a warm tint; it tends to remove the blue scatter that makes most of the haze. And you can correct the color cast later in post processing. But it won't remove it completely. The Pacific Northwest has few completely haze-free days, but summer is better than other times of the year. Besides, it's kind of nice on hazy days, with Mt. Rainier like a big watermark in the sky. |
