Cape Arago is about 15 miles from Coos Bay, OR- it's a bithard to find, but worth the drive! you can't get to the lighthouse, this viewpoint is one of only two places you can see it from... but looking at those rocks, i can see why the lighthouse is there!

Well, indeed:!:

Makes quite a decent match to your great Port Orford series I saw yesterday

How nice to see you'refully exploiting your Oregon holiday in terms of photographic opportunities

thanks, Bahadir and Hecules! yes, i am definitely enjoying the trip. a couple more days here, and then i have to return to the urban nightmare of Seattle... but not before i hit a couple of other spots. if i can manage it, i want to stop at Crater Lake on the way home, then take some time to photograph Mt. Hood - all weather permitting, of course!

but i think so far i like the Oregon coast best. i expect at least one, possibly two of these shots will end up on my wall... i could easily see an 18x24 of #1 or #3...

Lovely series Squirl! I've got to get down there sometime. This reminds me of our West Coast of Vancouver Island. Another beautiful spot for ocean seascapes..........cheers.........Don

Hi squirl: nice shots of a great place: I love the way those trees cling right to the very edge of those cliffs :-)

John.
