Hi guys,

This shot was taken from my apartment whilst on holiday recently. Played around a little bit in PS. Please let me know what you think.

Many thanks Matt.

I especially like the first one, but I think there's enough barrel distortion to be distracting.

There's no EXIF data in the images you posted. Can you tell us what equipment you used to take the shots?

I'd agree with Chris on colours for both images and with TCav on the distortion regarding the first one!

Very nice views

musket,

Significant improvement, albeit with significant lost of sharpness. But the unobstructed horizon appears perfectly straight, and from this perspective, thecurvature of the earth should be visible.

Unless, in Toy Town, the earth is flat. :-)

As much as I like this image, I doubt it is salvageable in post processing. It might be better to accept the geometric distortion than to diminish the image by trying to correct it.

There's no EXIF data, so we can't tell how this image was created, but my Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 does well at its widest. While the horizon in the following shot may be the result of geometric distortion, I'd prefer to think of it as the curvature of the earth (or the contours of the shoreline.)
