Finally after living here for 13 years I took a drive out to a place called, Holy Hill in Wisconsin.

First shot is out of the church tower and the second wasone ofthe many statues all over the grounds of the church area.

I agree with Don on the view from the church tower, suggesting me beauty, quietude and peace along with the second picture...Would like to see the church itself!

I appreciate the comments everyone. I took the Nikon D40 along using the kit lens and found that this camera is very capable in capturing the shots I look to take. It was easier to take along since there was a lot of stairs to climb and area to cover to see this beautiful place.

I had a sling pack on my with my D200 but it was quite cramped in the area I had to shoot. Lots of people that day. The D200 stayed put and the D40 delivered.

Mahalo,

Tom

It took the prodding of a very good friend to take her there and show me the area. She loves my photography and wanted some pictures taken for her.

It was much needed in my case. My Dad passed away (June '07)and I have yet to go home (Hawai'i) I spent alot of time in the prayer room as well.

Thanks smac,

I have three Nikons. Two D200 bodies and a D40. I have what most people consider way too much in this hobby but for me it is worth it when I can capture and share my passion.

My Dad really liked my work, which is a huge compliment since he was quite the accomplished photographer. I never took an interest when I was growing up, but one day out of boredom I now find myself here.

Take Care,

Tom
