I drew the curtains and it hit me. I think we may be in for some heavy showers today. It's windy as well.

Replaced with a 1000-pixel wide version. Will this do?

Torgny, I feel tremendously rewarded by such words (see next message below)from a master of the art. Thank you, thank you.

(Inserted this image instead of previous failure)

Here's one taken a little later. Notice the brighter skies to come...

Excellent. A masterpiece. First class photography. Fantastic build up. Great light/shadow ratio. An immediate hit. I can imagine your PC Explorer. Put it in the appropriate folder. Very, very strong

The prominent pole and box which intrude, brightly sunlit, on the first picture, are not to be complained about. I think it's a bird box, probably intended for owls. Good hunting for them round here.

I agree with all the comments about the first photo. Nice lighting and with the approaching storm in the background makes it all that more interesting.

Like the first one the best out of set, great colors and contrast between the storm and clear sky.

I am angry at you Alan:!: for you have't posted a larger version of this perfectly composed and exposed capture of a moment's gift from Mother Nature

ps. you might as well clone out thewire, the only distracting element in this perfect vision, however negligible.

Alan,

Yes, I'd agree with Bahadir, a LARGER version of especially the first photos would be much appreciated!

I love the strong colours and composition you have displayed and shared with us here, Alan!

Well done...!! (other shots are "nice" too. but "nice" is not so amazing as "Spectacular" which defines the first photo!!)

Cheers

Paul
