One with a 50.000 dollar Hasselblad digital camera (including lens), one with a 3.000 dollar ordinary dslr (including lens)

We stayed there more than 2 hours and the conditions constantly changed. Never saw his captures, but there was something special about the occation

Flipped horizontally. How come it feels like a completely different picture, besides the obvious if course

Perhaps because readers of the (mostly) English text round here read from left to right by default, and left to right leads to the striking tower against the sunrise colour, and not away from it? You could try it on someone used to wrtiting the other way round.
