A loooong time since I posted, thought I would get back into things. Picture taken with my D40, which has since departed for the great dSLR shop in the sky....

This is pretty cool, I love the roads and the detail! I hope your camera makes it home soon and in good working order.

Thankyou for the comments! The image looked very flat and I was messing around on photoshop and put it to b/w and it looked like a whole different picture. The contrasts from the snow work very well, and it has captured detail quite well (thanks to the good people at Nikon - not me :-))

Great landscape photo. Can´t stop watching the intricate lines leading the eyes all over the landscape. They even deviate in harmony. A picture to come back to

Torgny

What about the D40 + 18-200 VR for a multi purpose camera?

Liked the diagonal lines! Reminded me of a landscape painting by Bruegel : )

Good picture, works great as a B&W giving you the feeling of almost seeing the colors in the landscape.

Yes, strange. I´m sure I saw a peach/yellow/red tone over the mountains. Very surprised it is black and white
