@Calicajun: Thanks for the kind words, however, my photos didn't do any justice, it was far more beautiful. If you are considering moving we have lots of brand newhomes sitting empty...take your pick!

Thank you Torgny! I first noticed the alpinglow when taking the kids to school, the sun is just coming up about that time, and the mountains were glowing in the colors of the sunrise. The morning I took the pictures I was awake before dawn and couldn't sleep. I noticed the light in the sky, grabbed my gear and jumped in the car in my pajamas. Ifound a nice view about 20 minutes from home. I live about a 90 minute drive from these mountains (5 total)so they are always there peering down on us.
