Woke up early and decided to get some photos of the sun coming up on the mountains, called alpinglow.

Inspiring images whicharereally worth taking the trouble of waking up early

My fave concerning composition is #1. Imo, you mightalso try pano crops from it emphasizing the mountains even more, yet retaining the fitting foreground!

i love central oregon. looks like you were over the top of thedeschutes river. i used to look at that view all the time and the smell of junipers and sage in the air. looking at the images i can all most smell them. thank you for the moment of thought. :-) oakey

Thanks for the comments, I appreciate your time.

@bahadir: I considered cropping the first image as you suggested, I wasn't sure if I would like the effect of the trees being chopped off at the top, I might give it a shot.

@oakey: That picture was taken about a mile West of the Deschutes on highway 20 just past Cline Falls SP. I'm glad thatthey brought you good memories!

Thanks!

Brian

Actually, the trees borderingtherightof the frame would be hardto sacrifice!!

Thus,a reshoot from a bit afar with zoom, might be all that required to attain sth as below : )

Great looking landscape or at least you make it look great. My son lives in Klamath Falls OR and is trying to get me to move up there with him.

Beautiful word, beautiful pictures. You woke up and saw this? Do you live there? Very elegant in appearance, no need for altering. The cloud in the middle of the third picture is almost iconic, archetypical. Great landscape photographies. Thanks
