Hi Guys

Took this on the way to the Isle Of Skye, where every corner turned reveals yet more stunning scenery. I bracketed 2 exposures and merged them together in photoshop before converting to BW and tweaking curves slightly.

Cheers,

Neil

Such a a dramatic sight indeed! Well worth your trouble for the BW conversionHope you don't mind my take, mainly, for the somewhat blown out snowy mountain summits in distance : )

Thanks Bahadir. No problem with the edit - you've done well. I only noticed the blown out mountains when I got to work and uploaded the photo, but don't have any software to get them back here in the office. I'll re-process the original files and see if I can claw any definition back I think.

Thanks guys. I've had a play with the original file again and come up with this version - I think the mountain is definitely more prominent here.

I've also been playing with HDR and merging different Raw exposures. It's amazing the different sorts of image you can get with just one source file. I've only got trial software though so the image has got annoying watermarks on it.

Much better, imo, even better thanyour next edit whose coloured rocks in the foreground distracts from the mountain in distanceYou might, however, emphasize them (foreground rocks)just slightly to go with the mountains..
