Hello,

I read your posts. The bridge you show in the picture is actually dated to a couple of hundred years BC. My house is a 5 minute walk from there in a section of town called the Laskareika. Xirokambi is broken up into my section, Katsouleika, Arkasas and Mousga, to name the majority.

My family has been in Xirokambi since the early 1700s when they arrived from Mistras. I have been there 16 times over the last 25 years and know that village like the back of my hand. Just above the amphitheater, is a road to the anicent town of Koumousta...beyond there in the caverns is a water hole named after Komninos, who was a person that was killed in that spot.....his modern day relatives are good freinds of mine...the name of the area is "lubi komnino."

Next time you are there, to go the orange periptero at the town square and get some ice cream from my buddy Nontas Mantrapilias and say Vaggos from USA says hello....
