I agree with Gary's comment that it looks like fireworks, I love the contrast of the plant against that dark background! #2 is my favorite as well, very nice!!!!

Also Beech woods can be dark. Mostly it is the loveliest of light greens. Some times, under special weather conditions, it can look like this; when the sky is overcast and the sun brraks through not only the clouds but also the branches/foliage

In such woods the ground looks like there was no spring, nor any summer. The ground is covere with brown leaves

I have to also agree on them looking like fireworks, very nice shots Torgny i especially like #2 also
