Thank you, musket. It's not over yet. Here is another picture of the little maelstrom. I heard it first - sounded like "Sshlurpsssssssssssshhhh" - like in a bath tub but a thousand times louder

Here is a picture with the string, going down to ... (don't know) Suppose it's the same physics as a tornado

Thank you, flutelady. I see that you are active in the wildlife section. I'll look for another bird picture from Säve River or it's surroundings

Torgny

The bird resting on the boulder(?) in the picture below is a

Bucephala clangula (female)

Common Goldeneye

Knipa

And the little one on the left is a

Actitis hypoleucos

Common Sandpiper

Drillsnäppa

(didn't discover it before magnification:-))

"In the Nukumanu language of the Nukumanu Islands, Papua New Guinea, a name for this species is matakakoni, "

More:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Sandpiper

Could not imagine:-)

Action ordered. So be it. Thanks, Peter. I've been sitting quite a while with these pictures, bringing them together from various folders

Can I have a rest, please? Puh!

Disregard that lazy fellow. Back to work. Let's sing The Lumberjack Song, keeping our noses above the water surface

Nice set. Makes me want to move along the river, looking for things.

I like the way you treated the water as an entity of its own.

Your shots always make me think.

Yes, it is exciting. If I come close to knowing you a little by your topics/posts you would be interested in the cog wheels (you say?)

Don't ask me how the construction works, perhaps you have an idea
