Got the lens out of the box saw that the sun was going down so ran out to take these.

All I forgot were my filters...!!! Could have used the UV Haze and the CP on the first one.

Mt Baker Washington across Arrowhead Point, Camano Island.

Then I went round tothe west side in time for the sunset.

I think I'll like this lens with my E500, definately need some practice though.

I knew there was something wrong with my photography. I look, assess, play with camera settings and try to remember the accepted rules.

You open the box, rush out and take a couple of quick snaps and lo and behold take better pictures than I have ever achieved.

Beautiful shots and if they were mine, #1 would already be framed and hanging on the wall

23 years...That's excellent. As for 2 para..buncha whimps :-)

I was with 1 para but my age put me between anything too exciting..Thank goodness. Although back then I thought I could and would do anything!

I went out last night to try and get shots of the moonrise as I went over to the east side of the island I saw the sun about to set and the sky was magnificent. Reds, purples and so clear but I thought, oh well the sun will set again but the full moon does it's thing only once a month.

Ugly, ugly...I ended up dumping the all. Cloudy, hazy and too far south to get the snow capped mts in.

Looks like a nice sunset brewing tonight.........
