These shots were taken last Friday at Hurricane Ridge, out on the Olympic Peninsula......

If you are not familiar with the area let me set the stage for you then. You start at pretty much sea level, in Port Angeles, then drive about 25 miles up a fairly steep two way road. It was cloudy down in Port Angeles, we could not see the sun. As we drove up, we closed in on those very clouds, then drove into them....

Then, we exited, half way to Heaven :O

I hope you can (or more to point, I can deliver) appreciate the grandeur and the feeling of being closer to Heaven.....

Hi,

Very pretty, a wonderful location. The second photo seems to be a bit under. Maybe do a levels adjustment or bring up the shadows w/ highlights/mid-tone/shadow filter.

Beautiful landscapes but the trees are a bit blocked up. try levels or curves to open them up.

Thanks to your pictures, at last my eyes saw the kind of beautythey longed to see for quite a while (ahhh...once they were calibrated for!!) Actually I loved eachone for some reason,#4 for itseye pleasing portrait orientation which hints a lot about the fascinating setting, and#5 thestrongpine leaves that can be found after gaining some altitudeagainst therocksimbued by the sunlight, for example!Hey, the thick clouds look like the ones Heidi jumped over at the start of each episode of the cartoonseries : )
