As dawn broke yesterday, everything was ice-encased, plus weird outgrowths...

I had wandered across the road to see the hedgerow foliage, which had turned into fantastic 'apocalyptic flying furies' to my eye...

Great expressive expression :-), 'apocalyptic flying furies'. Spectacular pictures in the real sense of the word.

Seldomly the word "phantasmagories" is seen. Think it suits these wrenched scenes. There is still an order in the seemingly chaotic, ensured by repetitive elements

Hi Alan

Wow, great captures. When I lived in Europe (particularly Romania) I used to see things as you shared, particularly in those first 2 photos.

While I am a "warm weather person" I do miss some opportunities like that....
