It's been pretty cold in Kansas the past couple of weeks. Milford Lake, a few miles from my home pretty much has a thin skim of snow covered ice on most of the lake. These rocks are ice coated from wind whipped water that covered them prior to the lake freezing.

I really liked your pic, and I hope you don't mind me playing with it a bit. First I created two more layers spaced by 2ev and ran them through Photomatixs Pro as an HDR.
I then cropped the bottom of the print to give the lake and sky a bit more attention.

I hope you don't mind.

Hey I never mind anyone making a nice picture better. The shot is nicer cropped a little tighter and certainly more 'dynamic'.
It's a good thing I took that when I did (on Dec 24th). On Christmas day the temperature jumped to the 50's (after 14 days below 20) and yesterday it was almost 70degrees--so of course all the ice and snow melted. Today however is back to the 30's with some early icy rain and now snow flurries. Ahhh Kansas!
