Default Flowers in Yankee Boy Basin

Yankee Boy Basin outside of Ouray,Colorado is such a spectacular place to visit during wildflower season.

This was taken shortly after it rained in the very early morning.

Thanks for looking.

Striking and powerful. I love the way it leads you to the Mts. in the distance.

One can understand your degree of appreciation on the wonders of Great Mother judging from the tasteful capture above. I agree with smac on the picture's virtue of leading the observer pleasantly (both over and under the vegetation!!) to the Mountains in the distance : )

Great shot!! We were just out that way a couple of weeks ago. We are still working on the pictures. What a beautiful place to take photographs. Everywhere you look is another picture!

I sure wish we were still out there enjoying all of the breathtaking scenery. Will be back there in Sept/October so it will have to wait til then. Thanks for your comments.

My pleasure, Mandy! Well, I must confess, at first, I was going to suggest trimming a bit from the bottom...until I heard the gentle whisper of the Great Mother hinting me of a view running altogether deeper
