Robert,

Looked too bleak in Firefox so I added some saturation. Thank you. You should "have seen the light" - strong as ever before in the city.

No one outside except me and my waterproof dogs and a lonely wanderer further down the street

Nice photo. Reminds me of my "neck of the woods", where it has rained almost every day for the last week. Welcome to hurricane season on the coast..

Could it be that you and the wanderer were the only ones out because it was coming a flood!?

Robert,

Heard about the problems. Watch a indy news program, Democracy Now. Sorry for the ones that live at low altitudes

No, it has never happened that far up in the town. In the vincinity of the harbour though, the water can flood the nearby streets.

Torgny

The rains came from west that sunday afternoon; kept my cameras in plastic bags during the heaviest showers

WOW, Torgny - what play of light!!

I am referring to the street-scene, of course.
Incredible intense and "god-like" - almost a religiouse experience. I love the way the reflection of the windows are painting patches of light (god is pointing his index-finger towards your camera) across the wet cobble-stones.

What at catch. What atmosphere. What play of light!

I guess this kind of light was not there for a long time. When one sees something like this, you pray that you have your camere with you, and are ready to shoot!

I love it!

i like the composition and the "play of light" to use others wording in the street scene.

have you tried this one in b&w? it just may add even more drama, may be worth a try anyway.

Thank you, gentlemen,

The light was so strong I got the feeling of a new kind of light - a bit more blueish. Like that. The impression was further strengthened by the empty streets - on a sunday afternoon
