Default Fall Color

It has been a great weekend, I was able to make it our Saturday and Sunday morning with my camera!! Not been able to do that for awhile. This is one of the first photos taken with my new Nikon 35mm 1.8 it is a great lens especially in low light!

i really like the lighting in the 2nd image combined with the tranquil water and sky with a bit of fog.

Two lovely shots.
But if you would've lowered your camera a bit the pictures would be perfect. You should have given off more reflection than depicted here.
When shooting reflecting images it's OK to bring the horizon at 50/50 in the picture, ignoring the rule of thirds.

IMO you have lost just a teeny bit of important reflection in both photos while still showing more sky that has no interest at all.

Its 3:15 am and everything is dark except for the monitor. Now your pics colors really come out. Not as noticeable in the day time with all the light bouncing off the screen. I can really see the golden glow in the second shot.

Sleep? Thats a luxury for young people. Except for feeling tired, I hate sleep. I never get anything done.

Love that second shot in particular. Although a slightly tighter crop might make it even better.

Cheers, Ollie
