The Tokina 11-16 is very very good. I've seen it on kenrockwell.com... although it's way out of my price range

I first learned about this lens at kenrockwell.com as well, I find he is pretty much on the money with his reviews.

i have the tokina 12-24 and have always been impressed with it. very sharp, and the build quality is superb.

i bought it before the 11-16 was out. if i were in the market today, i would probably pick up the 11-16 for the slightly larger fov.

The sad thing ( for me ) is it's price. It costs more than 1000$ here in Sweden while according to Amazon.com it goes for 700$ in the U.S ... unfair I say. Sorry for off-topic discussion, Bob.

you could look for a lens like mine, the Tokina 12-24 f4. especially if you can find a good used copy. and it is a very good ultrawide in its own right.
