Default winter peak

took my daughter and her boyfriend up to Mt. Baker to snowboard this afternoon, and found a decent view of Shuksan. the sun is too far south this time of year for good light.. the "Picture Lake" north face of the mountain is in constant shadow all day... but i managed some decent shots nonetheless. this is a multi-frame stitch - the original image is 7430x3715, and should make a nice 12x24 print... 5D, 24-135 @ 118mm, 1/15 @ f/11...

Very nicely done, even with the less than perfect light it's great.

What did you stitch with?

thanks, Mark. i use ArcSoft PanoramaMaker 3. there are newer programs out there, but this one seems to work just fine, and it came free bundled with one of my cameras. free is a very good thing...

Hello Squirl033!

This is IMO a perfect 'big time' landscape-photograph. It is pictures like this that give me inspiration to keep on learning and taking pictures to be able to catch something 'as grand' as this - sometimes in the future. Hopefully then with a 'Full Frame'-camera and in RAW, of course.

The motiv so majestic, grand and clean with aweinspiring beauty with such fine colors and that glowing contrast! The composition so powerful with all these different diagonals, giving the wandering eye something to be guided by.

I love stitches. I only wish there was an easier way of showing them in almost full size on the net!

Thanks for the inspiration, Squirl!
