Default black water

winter is a pretty dreary time here in western Washington... mostly drab, gray and dismal. what colors there are, are muted and dull. still, if you look, there's always something to shoot! took this at Marymoor park in Redmond, with my 5D and trusty Tamron SP24-135 @ 24mm, 1/4 sec @ f/13...

Nice reflection of the trees in the water, need to take a second look. Kinda fool me when I first looked at it.

I'm always looking for reflections such as this. Our minds readily accept how a reflection should look but then when flipped, one now has to look 'again'...outside the box.

Interesting perspective. A bit 'spooky' too - like walking on glass, upside-down!

this wasn't flipped, though... this is right side up. i was standing at the edge of a flooded area, and looked down, and this was what i saw... really kinda grabbed my attention, with the trees looking like they were reaching for me instead of the sky!
