this look very very soft. i am not sure if the problem was in the resize when posting, or whether this shot is soft to begin with.

here is a reference for forum posting

tronds,

Very nice composition, with an entrance at the lower left side. Always inviting. Too bleak. Gave it a go in PSCS4 - heavy gamma correction. Hope you like

I have done something like that with the picture myself. Several versions, but the one I uploaded is closest to the light that day.
It is a bit soft, but I uploaded one without any sharpening, then deleted that, and uploaded a new one with the same filename, but sharpened a bit. Could not detect any difference. Thought it was the software at this site that made it soft, but I will try to upload another version with this comment.

Yes, it looks a bit better, but I can increase the contrast a bit.
When will I be pleased with it? I don't know. It seems to be room for improvement an anyway.

Regards,
Trond.

Yes, it looks a bit better, but I can still increase the contrast a bit.

Trond,

Yes, there is always room. Much better to my taste. In fact there are two entrances. One at the lower left and one right through the snow. My dogs would have been very happy
