great shots spy.

i particularly like the 2nd one as well. i like the dark contrast of the road vs the sky and the mood enhanced by the fog/mist. excellent composition. i like the analogy of road to nowhere.

That second shot makes me think that's what those long-jump skiers must face at the top of the hill. Both are great shots.

Again I like both your shots. Nice cropping job in the first one. Only complaint in the second is the out of focus area of the road in foreground. Perhaps cropping off an inch from the bottom would eliminate that problem. The pic would be a pano which doesnt hurt a bit.
