OK, I was struggling to work it out and go back to my gliding days as these are what is known as wave (can't imagine why) and for glider pilots product amazing amount of both rising and falling air...... you want to be in the rising, trust me. Wave is caused by wind blowing over large hills, mountains so they had to be there somewhere LOL.

Thanks for commenting. Mark, you glided? You need to get back up there, strap your camera on and post some pics!! ......I checked the landscape again to see if mountains had formed under where (no, I didn't just say underware) the wave clouds were when I wasn't looking and the landscape is flat, flat, FLAT. Nothing there but tumble weeds and fence posts...and the odd bale of hay.
